GFF cancels Cup Competition

 The Executive Committee of the Gambia Football Federation has announced the cancellation of the 2020/2021 FF cup and the Late Alhagie Omar Sey Memorial Tournament amid the late commencement of the National Leagues and availability of playing grounds according to a memo from the football authorities.

"After critically accessing the current state of our leagues, i.e. The late commencement of the National Leagues in January 2021, the tightness of the fixtures, the lack of praying grounds and taking into consideration that the National Leagues will be completed in August 2021." A GFF memo stated.

However, the first and second place finishers from the national league division one will represent the Gambia in the CAF inter-club Championships.

"The League Winner and Second, the place will serve as representatives in the CAF competitions respectively; League Champions and Confederation Cup". A GFF memo explained.
