Modou Barrow returns to team after going awol over unpaid wages
Gambian footballer Modou Barrow was back in the Denizlispor team last night after missing their previous game amid reports he stormed off the team's training ground last week over unpaid wages.
The 27-year-old former Swansea City winger, joined the Turkish side on loan from English Championship Club Reading F.C back in August 2019 and has already fetured in 21 games for the Horozlar's (Roosters), scoring 2 goals.
He was again back in the starting line-up last night and played for the full 90 against Kasimpaşa, which they lost 2-0, their second straight defeat in a row, having lost against Kayerispor a week earlier.
Barrow's appearance has put to bed reports of a rift between the him and his temporal employers after he was reported to have left the club's training ground two weeks ago with claims the Turkish SuperLig side failed to pay him money they owed.
