Pa Omar Jobe: Sheikh Jamal’s unstoppable goal machine
Gambian forward Pa Omar Jobe seems unstoppable at the moment after scoring in all of his last three games for Bangladeshi Premier League side Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi including his opener against Saif Sporting Club yesterday afternoon writes Omar Jatta . . .
The former Real De Banjul forward opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a clever dink over Saif goalkeeper Pappu Hossain following a flick from Ivorian midfield forward Ballo Famousa, for whom he (Jobe) later returned the favour by providing the cross that saw the Ivorian doubled their cushion after the half time break to give them a 2-0 in the 53rd minute.
Saif pulled a goal back in the 80th minute through Bangladeshi forward Mohammed Foysal Ahmed Fahim, but the Dhaka-based side held their nerves to see the game through and secured all three points, and for their third consecutive win since the start of the league back in mid February, thanks to which they have now stayed in 5th position on the League table with 9 points after 4 games and with a game in hand.
Pa Omar 21, has been in a rich vein form since joining the Bengali last November and has scored three goals already in successive matches against Muktijoddha SIC on February 18th, the 4-1 victory over Arambagh last Monday, 2nd March and in the 2-0 win over Saif yesterday.
