Volleyball Gambia community to nitpick GVBF checkbooks later this month

In line with constitutional demands, representatives of all volleyball clubs will gather in three weeks’ time to nitpick and fiddle financial details to be presented to them by their elected leaders at The Gambia Volleyball Federation (GVBF).
A statement released on Wednesday by the GVBF Press Officer Muhammed L Saidykhan stated, “The Gambia Volleyball Federation will on Saturday March 21st, 2020 converge at B.O. Semega Janneh Hall in Serekunda East to report to its members activities carried out by the federation in the year 2019 and finances spent by the body during the past 12 months or so.
The GVBF will convey an AGM where it will present its programmes and activities for the past year and present one. This platform is meant to provide checks and balances of power, to uphold and promote good governance and transparency. “
As part of the upcoming AGM, the federation announced it plans to engage with delegates to explore better ways in which its national competitions and programmes can be carried out to support the process widening the game’s increasing profile in the Gambia
“The assembly, being the highest decision-making body of the federation, will be accorded the opportunity to critically scrutinize the activities and budgets of the federation. The assembly will also map out strategies for better implementation of the federation’s activities.”
