American United Soccer League (USL) Championship side LA Galaxy II have completed the signing of Gambia midfielder Hamza Barry.

The 27-year-old, who has been clubless since leaving Croatian club Hajduk Split in 2020, joins the reserve team of MLS side LA Galaxy.

Barry is part of eight new additions who have signed to LA Galaxy II ahead of the 2022 USL Championship campaign.

Hamza has been a scorpions’ regular before his unlucky time with injuries and since leaving Split

The Scorpions international was given a taste of action as he played his first competitive match in nearly two years after LA Galaxy II’s 1-1 draw at Indy Eleven in the USL on Saturday evening.

Barry, a one-time target for English Premier League and Turkish clubs, is expected to stay with the Los Angeles-based club until the end of October 2022.

The midfield maestro will don the number 48 for the Los Dos.
