Gambia Sports can reveal that U20 striker Momodou Bojang is set for a move to Portuguese club Boavista at the end of the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania.

Bojang popularly called “major”, whose brilliant volley against Tanzania gave the Young Scorpions their first point of the competition, was scouted by the Portuguese club at the WAFU U20 Zone A competition late last year in Senegal.

Sources close to the player told Gambia Sports that the 19-year-old will leave local club Brikama United to join Boavista’s reserves before getting promoted to the first team.

The former Casa Sports player, is a versatile striker with impressive dribbling skills and tactical awareness, who can also play on the wings.

Gambia Sports can reveal that Bojang isn’t the only player who will secure a move to Europe at the end of the U20 tournament as another Portuguese club, Sporting Lisbon, is also lurking around two players in the Gambia team.
