Muhammed Tamba's 86th-minute goal earned Bombada the bragging rights in a 1-0 win over Gunjur United in a West Coast Region derby played in Basori- Kombo East. It was week nine of the Gambia Football Federation second division season.

Bombada, threatened to end Gunjur United’s winning streak as early as in the second minute when Gunjur United goalkeeper, Yunus Jatta brought down Bombada's young prodigy striker, Lamin Sambou. Central referee Mustapha Ndow gave the former FF cup finalists a penalty but their midfield Maestro, Sarjo Manneh cannoned a penalty off the woodwork.

Gunjur United were reduced to 10 men when last’s week hatrick hero Dawda Daorboe was adjudged to have stamp on Bombada's rocky defender, Assan Sanyang in the 75th minute.

Bombada FC capitalised on their numerical advantage to score a late goal in the 86th minute. Second-half sub, Edrisa Jarju looped a ball over the Gunjur defence for Muhammed Tamba who cleverly chipped over the rushing Gunjur United goalkeeper.

Speaking to Gambia Sports in a post-match interview, Lamin Sanneh the assistant coach of Bombada FC revealed that the team’s main goal is to fight for a promotion to the pinnacle of Gambian football.

Despite being on the losing end, Gunjur United’s gaffer Buba Kakai Bojang was similarly optimistic of a promotion to the top tier of Gambian football. "Still, we have ample time, but it is going to be tough, and we don't want to lose.  We must go to the training ground and work hard to achieve our goal. Our goal is to go to the first division."
