English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion have secured the signature of Gambian youngster Modou Faal, Gambia Sports can exclusively reveal.

The 17-year-old joins the Baggies from West Midlands-based side CS Colts FC and immediately joins the club’s U18 Premier League side.

Faal played for Sutton Coldfield Town’s Under-16s last season and had a key role in winning the Minor Challenge Cup.

He put in a man-of-the-match-worth display in a 3-1 win against Alvis Eagles U16s in the final and has since continued to impress to the point where he has been offered the chance to shine in West Brom’s academy.

Faal got on to the score-sheet in Albion U18s 3-0 win over Arsenal U18 at the weekend.

West Bromwich Albion’s U18 are currently eight on the U18 Premier League table with 21 points after 17 outings.
